Exclusive Breeding Rights for Owners

With less than a month until the first Team WS horses touch down in New Zealand excitement is building among the team’s joint owners. Daminos (UK), Carpaccio Z (Belgium) and Quintesse Z (Holland) will be arriving into the country early on the 20th of October, before travelling north to the Wilson’s stables in Hukerenui.

The horses will have picked up a few frequent flyer miles this month; first travelling to Germany where they are currently based for four weeks in quarantine, before boarding a flight to Sydney where they will spend another 2 weeks in quarantine, before embarking on the final leg home to New Zealand.

Timing could not be more ideal for the two stallions, who have a few weeks to settle in before the breeding season commences. “Having stallions with pedigrees of this caliber, available right here in New Zealand, is a phenomenal opportunity” says Vicki Wilson, one of the riders for Team WS, alongside her youngest sister Amanda. “We are excited to showcase them first and foremost in the competition arena, but are equally excited to see the legacy they leave behind in their foals."

However, due to the recreational nature of the initiative, the stallions will not be available at stud to the public. Team WS owners will be gifted exclusive breeding rights*. This is just one of the many benefits and incentives that all owners receive. “Daminos and Carpaccio are fantastic breeding prospects for New Zealand that we believe shouldn’t be wasted, so we are thrilled that owners can enjoy this benefit.” say Kelly Wilson, a co-founder of Team WS.
